Right Now First-time Home Buyers Could Get up to a $2000 tax credit! - (This program is available in Ontario. Please check your provincial website for available programs). Since February 1, 2008, homebuyers in Toronto have faced a new municipal Land Transfer Tax (LTT) on real estate purchases. This is in addition to the provincial LTT.
